As a child, Zahra Alsamawi was fascinated by a man filming a wedding.
”I didn’t know what it was back then but I got really interested,” she says. ”And now I believe a camera can tell our stories.”
Alsamawi, 23, of Liverpool in Sydney’s west, has started using a camera to tell stories about Iraq, the country her family fled for Iran after the Gulf War, before finding a home in Australia. Read more:
